Exciting News!

Maggie’s Mission is a proud Official Charity Partner for the third year in a row for the 2024 United Airlines NYC Half! Held on Sunday, March 17th which happens to be St. Paddy’s Day of all days! A favorite family holiday that reflects Maggie’s Irish roots.

Through our foundation, we remember Maggie and the impactful legacy she left behind. Though her life was cut tragically short, her spirit and determination continue to inspire everyday. One of Maggie’s bucket list items included a simple desire - “make it to be an adult.” Unfortunately, cancer had different plans. She passed away on June 1, 2017, just a few weeks after celebrating her 17th birthday. But even in her short time with us, Maggie left an indelible mark on our hearts.

In her memory, we have dedicated ourselves to honoring her dying wishes by helping children diagnosed with cancer. Through various initiatives, we work tirelessly to make a positive impact on the lives of sick children and their families.

We’re proud of the progress we have made, thanks to the unwavering support of generous individuals and organizations who stand alongside us in honoring Maggie’s memory. Maggie may not have achieved her dream of becoming an adult, but through Maggie’s Mission, her legacy lives on as we work towards a future where children can thrive without suffering. As we continue our journey, we invite others to join us in this noble cause.

Our team of 10 runners are gearing up to raise $2,000 each (or more) to conquer pediatric cancers and the bustling streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan, one mile at a time. Each step they take, each breath they draw, is one step closer to finding cures.

But they cannot do it alone; they need our support. Your encouragement, your cheers, your generous contributions will not only fuel their determination but also provide essential resources that enable Maggie’s Mission to continue its vital work. Together, we can go that extra mile and ensure that no child is left without the care, support, and opportunities they deserve.

Let’s rally behind our runners on St. Patty’s Day 2024 in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and beyond! Line the streets, wave our banners, and cheer as they pass by, one ‘mile’stone after another until they cross the finish line. Share their journey on social media, spreading the word about their incredible commitment to save children and inspire others to join the cause. Whether it’s a small donation, a word of encouragement, or volunteering your time, every act of support makes a significant impact.

Every runner will receive their a personal fundraising page, an official branded Maggie’s Mission/United Airlines NYC Half Marathon running shirt (maybe s’more swag too), a great big cheering section on the course and at the finish line, and of course, like any good Irishman (or not) in New York on St. Paddy’s Day, a pint on us after the race!
