Maggie’s Meal Program at RMH-NY

Ronald McDonald House NY provides temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families coming from all over the world seeking lifesaving treatment in NYC.

When Maggie was in treatment, we stayed in the city for weeks at a time and felt so fortunate to stay at the house and not have to always worry about meals. Can you imagine how expensive it would be to eat out every day? There are some families staying at the house for months at a time. Maggie’s Mission has been feeding children and families staying at Ronald McDonald House NY since starting our foundation.

What started out as a commitment of donating and serving 4 quarterly meals a year to RMH-NY grew during the pandemic because of the greater needs of the house. The community kitchens were closed to protect the safety of the immunocompromised children and their families who were in treatment at various NYC hospitals. When RMH-NY called upon us, we were there to help and are proud to have been featured in their 2020 Annual Report (see below), along with larger corporations such as Amazon, Burberry, Google, Loreal, NBA, NFL, Panera Bread, and Ralph Lauren (to name a few).

Since then, Maggie’s Mission has continued the tradition by providing monthly meals to families while their child is in treatment.

We are so happy to be able to continue to provide the House with much needed meals so parents and families literally have one less thing on their plate!

It’s all part of ‘The Good We Do.’

RMH-NY has been able to count on us in a pinch, and we hope we can count on you to help with a donation today so that caregivers can focus on what’s most important, being with their child during treatment and not worrying about when their next warm meal will be.
