Matching Corporate Donations
Companies of all sizes match donations their employees make to nonprofits because it’s an easy, structured way for them to support good work in their communities. When you make a donation to Maggie’s Mission, you can request a matching gift from your employer, who then makes their own donation. Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio! Double, triple, or quadruple your impact when making your donation by asking your company to participate. Imagine your gift going that much further? It’s a win, win!
Create a Facebook fundraiser
Did you know you can fundraise directly on Facebook in just a few simple clicks? And the great part is Facebook charges no fees on donations made to MM on Facebook.
You can create a birthday fundraiser when your birthday is coming up as a way to let friends celebrate with you, or you can support Maggie’s Mission anytime by creating a nonprofit fundraiser.
Decide how much you want to raise, indicate the currency you want donations to be in, and the date you want the fundraiser to end. Create a title for your fundraiser, and you’ll be good to go! You can set your own custom goal or continue to increase your goal as you meet it. Doesn’t matter whether you raise $5 or $5,000... every dollar raised helps us give back to find cures and help families affected by pediatric cancers!
Fundraiser tips… Share and invite friends! Let more people know about your fundraiser by sharing and inviting them to donate. Fundraisers that get shared in News Feeds raise 10x more.
Make the first donation… Show your commitment to the cause and make the first donation. Fundraisers raise twice as much when the people who start them make the first donation.
Tell your story… Let your friends know why Maggie’s Mission is important to you and why you want them to donate. Upload photos or videos to keep supporters informed.
Thank your supporters… Saying thanks is a nice way to recognize the donors who helped you raise money.
