2023 Glow for gold angelversary gala, Friday june 2nd
Our sixth Annual Angelversary Gala was held at the beautiful and historic Vanderbilt Museum overlooking the Long Island Sound. Presented by long time supporters - New York Community Bank, a division of Flagstar Bank N.A., and the Cangemi family, the event featured Maggie’s Bucket List Skydive Jump with Mike Elliott and his team from the All Veteran Group.
If you knew Maggie, you’d know she loved a good thunderstorm. And if you believe in signs, she made her presence known in a big way that night. Right around the time the Bucket List Skydive jump was supposed to happen, between cocktail hour and our guests’ transition to the Vanderbilt’s Celebration Tent, a storm blew in and put a damper (literally) on any chance of Donna’s skydive tandem jump with Mike Elliott. Luckily, that didn’t stop his team from sending out two of his professional parachuters, Jen Espinosa and Mario Rivera, from Republic Airport in Farmingdale to head up into the sky to carry our Angelversary Bucket List flag and release some of Maggie’s Ashes above Northport Harbor. The jump happened after Donna made a connection with Jennifer Pinto from JK Consulting in Northport.
