2023 United Airlines NYC Half AND Team MAGGIE’S Mission

BRRRRR… 2023’s RACE WAS A WEE BIT CHILLY.

Despite the chill on Sunday, March 19, 2023 for United Airlines NYC Half, our runners showed up ready to run and race, and we were prepared to watch each and every one of our runners cross the finish line. Running 13.1isn’t easy, but neither is a diagnosis of pediatric cancer. We’re proud of all those who have been a part of our team and are grateful to those who have
supported their efforts. #teammmrunsNYC

For two years in a row, Maggie’s Mission has been selected as an Official Charity Partner. We’re hoping to continue that streak to get race bibs every year and someday qualify for a few charity spots for the TCS New York City Marathon.

Our team of 11 runners (one couldn’t run to illness and injury), raised an incredible amount of awareness of our foundation, including raising over $19,000 for our mission to find cures, and help families affected by pediatric cancers.

We thank our Team MM runners - Amelia Calderon, Giro DeLillo, Katie Evers, Maria Fratinardo, Lisa Giombetti, Morgan Goldstein, Larry Flowers, Samantha Pessiki, Emmy Visconti, and Daphne Zoda! You all made us proud braving and running in the Artic chill that was felt by all on Sunday, March 19th, despite Monday’s Spring arrival. Your stories of why you run are inspiring and straight from the heart.

Being an official Charity Partner has helped us raise over $35,000 altogether - GO TEAM MAGGIE’S MISSION, you guys keep kicking it out of Central Park!

Check back again next year, as we aim to become an official charity partner for a third consecutive year.

A few 2023 highlights.

Some highlight photos from 2022.

Since beginning Maggie’s Mission in honor of Maggie’s dying wish to help save other children, we’ve been working to fund innovative research to ensure improvements in treatment options and ultimately cures for children diagnosed with cancer. Visit the Good We Do to see where donor dollars go. We’ve dedicated ourselves to filling in the gaps wherever needed, whether we are paying bills, or feeding families at the Ronald McDonald House in NYC through the Maggie’s Meal Program at RMH-NY.

Thank you to the New York Road Runners for allowing us to be a part of this amazing event.
