Concert for a Cure 2020

Get ready for tomorrow night!!!!

Friday, May 8th at 7:00pm for the virtual Concert for a Cure!

Maggie’s Mission was founded in September 2017, in honor of 17 year old Harborfields student Maggie Schmidt. Maggie was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer that took her life on June 1st of 2017. Maggie LOVED all kinds of music, especially the #redhotchilipeppers who helped make Maggie’s awful journey with a terminal cancer, a little easier by embracing her and inviting her to concerts on their #getaway tour. Particularly Josh Klinghoffer, who offered friendship and his generous spirit of caring for others.

We are dedicated to raising awareness of pediatric cancers, funding cutting-edge research that will improve outcomes for children with cancer around the world, and providing assistance to families and children currently affected. The concert will also provide scholarships to Harborfields High School students. $3,000 in honor of Maggie Schmidt and $3,000 in honor of Gabby Cava, a 16 year old Harborfields student who lost her battle with cancer this past January 12, 2020. This year, Maggie's Mission is donating $8,000 total in scholarships for students to help with the economic hardships faced by so many families because of the current #pandemic.

The concert is FREE.
